Donna Braswell, ARNP

Donna graduated from the College of Southern Idaho in 1992 with an associates degree in nursing, her bachelors degree in nursing in 2004 and master's degree in nursing as family nurse practitioner in 2006. She has been working in psychiatry since graduation.  In her spare time you will find her out in the trails with her golden retrievers or riding her bike on some country road

Erika Rootvik, PMHNP-BC

Picture
Erika is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licensed in Washington state and a nationally ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with her master’s in nursing from the Washington State University College of Nursing’s Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program in 2015 and has been working in outpatient psychiatry since that time. She offers person-centered holistic psychiatric medication management services and is passionate about empowering patients in their wellness journey.

Spencer Hendricks,PMHNP-BC

Spencer is an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). He graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2011 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and completed his Master of Science in Nursing with Gonzaga University in May 2022. Spencer values care that functions as a partnership between clients and providers. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, drinking coffee, and spending time with his family.

Tammy Sharon, LSWAIC

Tammy completed her Masters of Social Work degree in 2013. Since earning her MSW, Tammy has worked in the medical social work fields, helping people who needed kidney dialysis multiple days a week, and then working with individuals and their families in a local skilled nursing facility.  Tammy is a strong believer in listening to what the client’s needs are and then working on a solution together.  Although her counseling approach is eclectic, Tammy utilizes Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques the most.  She has a strong desire to assist each client to be successful in reaching their goals. Prior work experience includes working as a school counselor for 18 years, counseling children from ages 11-14.  Tammy has also provided Parent Education classes, and has spent time working with parents as an advocate for their child who has special needs in Special Education IEP meetings. Tammy believes in lifelong learning, and takes continuing education courses often.  Tammy enjoys being a member of the Walla Walla Choral Society, and also enjoys various volunteer opportunities. 

Amanda Fowler, LSWAIC

Amanda graduated with their MSW in 2018 and has seven years of experience working with clients throughout the lifespan. Amanda focuses on building a trusting relationship with their clients by providing a safe and affirming space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without fear of judgment. Amanda's therapeutic method is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.​

Alayna Brinton, LICSW

Alayna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Alayna  began working in mental health in 2007, when she became employed on a children’s inpatient psychiatric facility as a mental health counselor. She soon branched out and worked concurrently on the adult inpatient psychiatric unit for 7 years. She also has experience working in an outpatient setting as a children’s outpatient psychosocial rehabilitation therapist and a resource coordinator for children and families in Idaho. Alayna spent 5 years working specifically with the geriatric population in the role of social services director in the skilled nursing facility setting Her undergraduate degrees are in psychology (B.S.) and sociology (B.A.) from Washington State University. Her graduate degree is from Walla Walla University where she earned a clinically focused Masters in Social Work (MSW). Since obtaining her MSW she founded and developed Anchor Point Counseling, a group mental health practice located in Walla Walla, Richland, WA, and Anchorage, AK. She also founded and serves as Executive Director for Blue Mountain Health Cooperative, a non-profit agency focused on increasing access to mental health services and workforce development opportunities for young professionals. Alayna's theoretical orientation is eclectic with an emphasis on individual-centered as well as cognitive-behavioral concepts. She has a passion for helping people meet their goals for wellness. She maintains a bio-psycho-social perspective toward care and believes that treatment success is best attained through the approach of treating each individual within their environment. A focus on each person’s distinctive values, beliefs, perspectives, and strengths allows her to collaborate with her patients on a deep and meaningful level and in a way that encourages personal growth. Alayna is dedicated to meeting the needs of each person she sees through the use of individualized interventions. She focuses on respecting each person’s right to self-determination and strives to treat everyone she sees with the highest level of dignity and respect. She has experience treating children ages 3 through the lifespan.

Blue Mountain Health Cooperative serves as a training facility for collegiate mental health providers. These providers are overseen by established licensed supervisors with years of experience. This training arrangement offers our community a unique opportunity for both the clients we serve and the student providers. This opportunity increases access to care for our community as well as creating a needed clinical experience to educate our next generation of behavioral health providers.
